Nutritional Consultations to Transform Your Pet's Well-Being

Are you concerned about the health and well-being of your cat or dog? Maybe that they aren’t getting all the nutrients they need with their current diet?

Nutritional counselling can be a game-changer when it comes to the overall health of your dog, cat, or other companions. By working with one of our veterinarians, you can ensure that your pet receives a balanced and tailored diet that meets their specific needs.

Not only does nutritional counselling help in maintaining a healthy weight for your pet, but it also plays a crucial role in preventing and managing various health conditions such as allergies, digestive problems and even chronic issues like diabetes and heart disease.

Contact us today to discuss your pet's nutritional needs and so our veterinarians can create a customized diet plan.

Nutrition Counseling, Creston Vet

The Dietary Counselling Process

We'll begin by conducting a physical exam and health analysis to determine the specific nutritional needs of your pet. We will then use that information to develop a custom food plan to meet those needs.

Depending on the added benefits we believe they will have for your companion, we may recommend using prescription diet food products instead of regular food.

Dogs, cats, and other domesticated species often experience changes in their nutritional needs as they age, so we need to reassess the diet periodically. We will revisit our plan every year or so to ensure its continued effectiveness.

How Can Dietary Counselling Help?

Our dietary counselling services can help address concerns you might have with your pet's nutrition and health. It can also help you and your pet by:

  • Managing food allergies
  • Decoding nutritional labels
  • Controlling health conditions such as diabetes
  • Helping your pet achieve a healthy weight
  • Learning which and how much food to feed your pet
  • Choosing food for your pet based on their needs and your budget
